Explore piano with Rhode Island pianist and music educator Jake Heady. Private lessons give you space to ask questions, work on music that interests you and build a practice routine around your goals.

You might want to discuss learning a particular song, returning to the piano or exploring how to accompany your singing. Jake will help you decide whether his approach is the right fit before you commit to lessons.

Tell Jake about the piano or keyboard you have available for practice. If you prefer online lessons, discuss your instrument, camera position and sound setup during the consultation so you can prepare for your first session.
In person or online
Lessons are available in Tiverton, Rhode Island, and online. The in-person teaching address is shared privately after Jake accepts your booking.

How requests work
Choose a time and complete the short questionnaire. Your request does not confirm a lesson or consultation: please wait for Jake’s separate acceptance before attending. Choose in-person lessons in Tiverton, RI, or online lessons; format and location details will be agreed with you. Card details are collected securely when you request a lesson, but your card is not charged at booking. Payment for an accepted lesson is due after the lesson.
Lesson availability
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8 a.m.–7 p.m.
Wednesday: 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.–11 a.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
All times are Eastern. Lessons must finish by the end of each window. These hours apply to lessons; performance availability is handled separately.
Cancellation policy
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged at the normal lesson price, are nonrefundable, and cannot be rescheduled. No additional cancellation fee applies. Emergency exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis at Jake’s sole discretion.
